Excellence Deserves Recognition

We Appreciate Everything Our Nurses Do

Medical Edge Recruitment believes it is important to ensure we make our providers feel honored about the awesome work they do. The highest form of recognition is the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The DAISY Foundation offers reduced tuition to Chamberlain University School of Nursing, reduced rates from ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center), a hand-carved stone statue entitled A Healers’ Touch, and many other scholarship, grant, and education opportunities.

Our Inspiration

About the DAISY Foundation

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Foundation was established in 1999 after Patrick Barnes tragically passed away fighting a tough battle with ITP. During his eight-week stay in the hospital, Patrick and his family were astonished by the care he received from the many different nurses. The compassion, kindness, and clinical skill his nurses showed not only to him—but also to his family—was nothing short of what we call their specialized superpower.

After Patrick passed away, his loved ones created the DAISY Foundation to honor his legacy and the many nurses who go above and beyond by providing exceptional care. DAISY is now internationally recognized as a prestigious honor embraced by healthcare organizations across the globe.

We are excited to recognize our awesome nurses in the best way we can!
