Now hiring - Occupational Health & Safety Senior 360 Recruiter

As an Occupational Health & Safety Senior Recruiter, you will be responsible for leading the 360, recruitment process for positions related to occupational health and safety within our client’s organization. You will collaborate with clients, hiring managers and HR partners to understand their talent needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and attract top talent to join our team. In addition to sourcing and screening candidates, you will also assess their qualifications, conduct interviews, and make recommendations to hiring managers. Your expertise in the field of occupational health and safety will be crucial in evaluating candidates' knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners to understand the talent needs for occupational health and safety positions.
  2. Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates, including utilizing job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry-specific resources.
  3. Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the organization.
  4. Conduct in-depth interviews with potential candidates, evaluating their technical knowledge, experience, and soft skills.
  5. Provide guidance and recommendations to hiring managers on candidate selection, ensuring alignment with the organization's occupational health and safety requirements.
  6. Coordinate and facilitate the interview process, including scheduling and managing candidate communications.
  7. Conduct thorough reference checks to verify candidates' qualifications and suitability for the position.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety recruitment to ensure effective talent acquisition strategies.
  9. Build and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified occupational health and safety professionals for future hiring needs.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, associations, and universities to expand the network of potential candidates.
  11. Monitor and report on recruitment metrics and provide insights to enhance the effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  12. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, including coordinating required training and orientation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Relevant certifications will be a plus Or 5 plus years of OH&S recruitment experience.
  2. Proven experience as a recruiter in the field of occupational health and safety, preferably in a senior or lead role.
  3. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles, regulations, and best practices.
  4. Excellent knowledge of recruitment techniques, including sourcing strategies, candidate screening, and interviewing.
  5. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, HR partners, and external stakeholders.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  9. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess candidates' qualifications and make data-driven decisions.
  10. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments in occupational health and safety.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  12. Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events, conferences, or job fairs.
