Kathy Eberwein
CEO
Kathy Eberwein, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global Edge Group, Medical Edge Recruitment, and Global Edge Managed Solutions, is a dynamic leader with over twenty years of recruitment experience in the Global Energy Industry. Her education and work experience prior to recruitment was as a Mechanical Engineer in the power industry as well as environmental industry.
Kathy’s engineering experience began in construction working as a Mechanical Project Engineer for the largest independent power producer at the time. She was part of a small team responsible for the construction of a $263 million co-generation facility. She continued working in project development of other new greenfield co-generation power plant facilities including project financing, permitting, construction, and engineering of multi-million-dollar projects. Following this, Kathy moved into the environmental engineering field working on complex permitting issues for hazardous waste landfills and incinerators.
Through an unusual circumstance, she stumbled onto technical recruiting and immediately discovered a passion for changing the lives of others through recruitment. Kathy was instrumental and led the initial launch and development of US operations for two of the largest global oil and gas staffing firms. Using her own experience as an engineer, combined with the best lessons learned from building two large global recruitment divisions, she ventured out on her own and created the Global Edge Consultants in April of 2008. Since 2008, the Global Edge has grown into a global operation, operating in over 20 countries, and has had turnover in excess of $500mm. Kathy is proud to have one of the first women-owned recruitment agencies in the global arena for the energy industry and continues to expand in size and global footprint. Her vision is to become the agency of choice in the global energy arena as she continues to propel the Global Edge to new levels of growth and excellence.
In 2019 Kathy founded the Doyenne Initiative, an NGO dedicated to elevating women through higher education and specialized career and leadership development, equipping the women to hold the most esteemed and executive roles in their respective fields. As they prosper, these Doyennes will be role models who influence their countries, communities, families, and generations to come.
Jermaine Reed
President & COO
Jermaine Reed President & COO is a highly accomplished, results-oriented executive with experience developing and delivering strategies to achieve operational success. A trusted advisor with a history of collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to ensure strategic and operational alignment with global business objectives, culture, and MVVs. Diverse background/credentials enabling a “full picture” strategic view and practical tactical capabilities with an appreciation for ROI.
He has an extensive background in staffing medical needs. With over 20 years of experience in the medical recruitment and staffing industry, Jermaine is an experienced executive who excels in diverse business environments and understands the clinical demands and care delivery models within the ever-changing Healthcare Staffing industry. He has served in various roles such as leading staffing, clinical delivery, wellness, and start-up teams.
He continues to successfully lead and manage Medical Recruitment through each growth phase while navigating organizational, state, federal, and payor regulations and programs. His leadership and guidance are the driving force behind how our team runs. Medical Edge into a mid-sized international medical recruitment and staffing firm with two locations (Houston, TX & Georgetown, Guyana). Medical Edge Recruitment was recognized by Inc. Magazine as the 6th fastest growing company in the Southeast Region.
Jermaine’s experience extends to the facilitation and administration of developing leadership teams while growing and establishing business with various clients including State contracts.
Julie Kennedy
Chief Commercial Officer
Julie Kennedy serves as Chief Commercial Officer, leading commercial strategy, business development, and go-to-market execution across healthcare and life sciences. She is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding client partnerships, and delivering scalable recruitment and permanent placement solutions that align with evolving workforce demands.
With a strong foundation in finance and operations—supported by her credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), as well as degrees in Marketing and Accounting from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business—Julie brings a disciplined, performance-driven approach to commercial delivery. She combines financial rigor with market insight to design solutions that optimize hiring outcomes while supporting long-term client growth.
Julie has a proven track record of building and executing recruitment programs across both high-volume staffing initiatives and specialized direct hire engagements. She partners closely with clients to develop tailored hiring strategies, refine pricing and delivery models, and ensure seamless execution from sourcing through placement—driving speed, quality, and long-term retention.
Ana Olenik
Sr. Director of Human Resources
Ana Olenik manages the Human Resources and Contracts portion of the Project Management Office. She is a dedicated human resources professional with over twenty years of experience, including over a decade in recruitment and staffing. Ana and her team work to ensure that all employees are onboarded quickly and efficiently while prioritizing compliance and best practices. The team is available to assist employees with questions surrounding their employment, such as benefits, pay, timekeeping, and any other queries.

Assistant Controller
Melissa is an Accounting Specialist with a high level of integrity and experience working with high net worth individuals, confidential information and complex entity structures. She is resourceful and able to personally manage tasks ranging from routine to complex. She strives to prioritize, multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
Brandi Peel
HR Manager
As a HR Manager, HR Generalist and HR Coordinator, Brandi has performed complex and technical work in the following areas: recruitment, staffing, salary administration, unemployment claims, employee relations, insurance and retirement, benefits administration, records retention, employee training and development, and worker’s compensation.
During her years of professional management experience she has recruited, hired, interviewed and trained employees. Also, she demonstrates proficiency in various management functions, including budgeting, conflict resolution, customer service, coordination of emergency situations, implementation of department improvements, strategic planning and team work.
