Medical Edge Recruitment has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician (MHT).

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift/Hours: 12 hour shifts, nights
Duties Include:

Function as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, & role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics depending on which unit worked
Knowledge of personal hygiene training techniques
Knowledge of psychiatric care techniques
Knowledge of aggressive behavior management techniques
Ability to adhere to safety policies & procedures
Ability to react calmly & effectively in emergency situations
Ability to sit or walk up to six hours, sit for up to two hours
Ability to move frequently is required in the delivery of patient care
Ability to spend 20% of the workday outdoors in temperatures varying form 30°-110°F & 80% of the work day indoors in temperatures varying from 60°-85°F
Ability to occasionally push/ pull wheeled carts from 200 lbs. (i.e. crash cart, EKG machines, patient in wheelchair)

Requirements:
• Current and valid MHT license in Arizona
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience
• Current BLS certification is required
• High school diploma or GED
