Contract Length: 6 month contract
Shift/Hours: (40 hours per week)
Shifts: 6am-2pm OR 2pm-10pm OR 10pm-6am
Duties of Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse-LVN
- Performs routine LVN work.
- Prepares and administers medication
- Transcribes physician’s orders
- Performs focused care & treatment of clients
- Documentation: patient behaviors, medication administration, condition changes and other changes
- Maintains accountability of medication
- Provides education to client and/or family
- Other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse, Chief Nurse Executive and or Assistant Nurse Executive.
Job Requirements for all candidates:
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and able to practice in the State of Texas.
- Experience in responding to medical/psychiatric crises.
- Direct client care experience, preferred.
- Experience in providing care for the emotionally disturbed child or adolescent in an institutional setting, preferred.
Requirements:
- Current and valid LPN license TX
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
- Current BLS certification is required
- Associates degree from an accredited school of nursing is required
