Medical Edge Recruitment has an immediate opening for a DSP (Direct Support Professional).

Shift/Hours: 8 hour shifts (Nights and Evenings with rotating weekends)

Duties Include:

You will work cooperatively with the Human Service Assistants and Human Service Specialists.
You will assist and instruct residents in need of daily living i.e. cooking, cleaning, budget planning, etc.
You will assist the treatment team in therapeutic and rehabilitative activities.
You will provide direct care attention to residents and serves as a role model in order to assist residents with their development of skills necessary to transition successfully and function more independently.
You will observe and record resident’s behaviors; document resident’s attendance and behaviors in accordance with program requirements.
You will assist residents in medication administration and compliance.
You will assist and coordinate transportation of clients to medical appointments and ensure documentation of appointment is provided to CRCF; assist and coordinate special activities and routine outing transportation.
You will perform cleaning duties to include but not limited to, sweeping/mopping, cooking resident meals, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, dusting, etc.

Requirements:

The ability to work in a residential facility.
The ability to work rotational shifts.
A valid driver's license and ability to drive a state vehicle is required.
Covid Vaccination Required but will accept excemption
