We have an immediate opening for reliable CMAs (Certified Medical Assistants) for 8+ week contracts at a long-term care facility in Fort Dodge, Kansas. 8 hour shifts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are available with the following requirements:

Assignment Type: PRN
Shift/Hours: 8 hour shifts (days with rotating weekends)
Duties Include:
- Supports residents with activities of daily living (ADL) by assisting with oral care, dressing, bathing, toileting, transporting, turning, and nutrition.
- Performs related routine activities such as changing linens and administering simple therapeutic treatments or procedures.
- Administers prescribed medications including; oral, topical, and rectal as well as prescribed treatments such as dressing changes, accucheck glucose monitoring, or enteral nutrition administration in accordance with Physician’s orders and in compliance with specific procedures.
- Reports immediately, to the charge nurse, anything unusual regarding residents.
- Answers call lights and provides assistance.
- Obtains and records vital signs, height and weight as requested.
- Measures and records input and output. Collects specimens. Places and removes protective or assistive devices.
- Checks all assigned residents at end of shift to make sure they are clean, dry and comfortable. Completes required documentation of ADL’s.
- Completes required documentation for medication administration.
- Keeps bedside and room clean and clear of clutter to provide aesthetic and safe environment. Puts away supplies, linens, etc.
- Completes special assignments as requested by the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- Current and valid CNA license
- Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
- Current CPR certification is required
