• Risk and Litigation Management Services.
• Selected services as deemed appropriate.
• Provider application and current coverage.
• Consult regarding and assist in obtaining prior acts coverage where appropriate.
• Assist the provider in preparing prior claim reports
• Assist in regard to renewal of policies.• Obtain provider coverage binders and certificates of insurance.
• Consult with the provider in preparation of claim histories for credentialing/re-credentialing.
• Participate in annual renewal and premium negotiations for all of MedicalEdge insurance programs.
• Clarify issues of specific practice activity, such as nursing home practice, hospice,
and medical director coverage.
• Assist in the generation of incident reports, carrier notification, and correspondence with defense counsel.
• Maintain current P&C and GL coverage on each clinic location and assist in renegotiations with carriers.
• Report GL cases to carrier, and stay current on files, updates from carrier and counsel if required
• Assist provider in responding to subpoenas, requests for production, and other discovery requests in litigation arising out of a provider’s practice during the provider’s employment.
• Create and maintain claim and litigation files, including claim management database.
• Coordinate with providers, carriers, defense counsel and third party administrators relating to litigation arising out of an act or omission occurring during the providers’ employment matters in litigation.
• Assist in employment related issues, including EEOC issues, employment practices, and termination issues.
• Assist in billing disputes.
• Conduct on-going risk management and risk reduction programs. Conduct periodic site audits of practice risk management problem areas.
• Formulate and revise risk management policies and procedures as MedicalEdge deems necessary.
